Tina “BipolarBetty” Hodgdon
Tina Hodgdon, known to millions online as BipolarBetty (@bipolarbetty on TikTok), is a cancer survivor, storyteller, and outspoken advocate for self-acceptance, resilience, and mental health awareness.
In 2014, Tina was diagnosed with stage 2 nasal cancer, a rare and aggressive disease that changed the course of her life. To save her life, doctors performed a total rhinectomy, removing her nose entirely. Where many people might have chosen to disappear from public view, Tina chose something different: she chose visibility, honesty, and courage.
Since then, she has shared her life openly — not as someone asking for pity, but as someone determined to show that identity, confidence, humor, and beauty do not disappear because life gets hard. Her story has resonated with people around the world who see in her an example of what it means to keep living fully, even after profound loss.
Tina also speaks candidly about living with bipolar disorder, bringing another layer of truth and advocacy to her platform. Her content blends humor, raw honesty, and encouragement, creating a community where people feel seen, supported, and less alone.
When she is not creating content or connecting with followers, Tina enjoys life with her husband, Chris, and continues to build a message rooted in grit, grace, faith, humor, and heart.
“I lost my nose, not my fighting spirit.”
